Jacqueline, a 8th-grade yearlong student in Mrs. Ellington's Digital Art Class for the 2020-2021 School year at KMS has been selected for Artist of the Month for December! Jacqueline has gone above and beyond during our second quarter! Her hard work and dedication to completing her work to display a high level of craftsmanship is what made Jacqueline the recipient of Mrs. Ellington's Artist of the Month! I asked Jacqueline a few questions once she found out that she is being recognized as Mrs. Ellington's Artist of the Month as well as a little bit about her! "Everything! I love this class and I always have a great time!" Jacqueline said. I also asked Jacqueline what inspires her to make art and express creativity! Her response was "The people and environment around me always inspires me a bunch!"

Congratulations Jacqueline! I am so proud of you and thank you for your hard work and dedication! I hope you know how appreciative I am of you! It does not go unnoticed! Jacqueline and I share a passion for the Mandolorain and I love that fact I can always share my thoughts about the show with her!

Mrs. Ellington

Damon, a 7th-grade student in Mrs. Ellington's Digital Arts Class for the 2020-2021 School year at KMS has been selected for Artist of the Month for December! Damon has gone above and beyond during our second quarter! His hard work and dedication to completing his work to display a high level of craftsmanship is what made Damon the recipient of Mrs. Ellington's Artist of the Month! "My favorite part about digital art has been the warm-up activities and the live classes!" Damon said. I also asked Damon what inspires him to make art and express creativity! His response was "The colors of the things that I see around me fuels my creativity!"

Mrs. Ellington

Maya, a 6th-grade student in Mrs. Ellington's Digital Arts Class for the 2020-2021 School year at KMS has been selected for Artist of the Month for December! Maya has gone above and beyond during our second quarter! Her hard work, dedication, and going the extra mile, is what made Maya a recipient of Mrs. Ellington's Artist of the Month! I asked Maya a few questions once she found out that she is being recognized as Mrs. Ellington's Artist of the Month as well as a little bit about her! "The Elements of Art has been my favorite part of Digital Art so far!" Maya said. I also asked her what inspires her to make art and creativity! Her response was "I love being able to create new things and express myself and become a better artist every day!"

Precious, a 6th grade student in Mrs. Ellington's Digital Arts Class for the 2020-2021 School year at KMS has been selected for Artist of the Month! Precious has gone above and beyond during our first quarter! Her hard work, dedication, and going the extra mile, is what made Precious an amazing first recipient of Mrs. Ellington's Artist of the Month! I also asked Precious a few questions once she found out that she is being recognized as Mrs. Ellington's Artist of the Month as well as a little bit about her! "The Mosaic Cloud Collage has been my favorite part of Digital Art so far! My fuel and creativity comes from my funny teacher, YOU! I feel good about being chosen as Artist of the Month!" Her Mom, Regina also said "She pushes herself to achieve her goal and is very much a behind the scenes kind of person! Precious has always been an A’ honor roll student! She loves music, taught herself to play the guitar and piano! Precious loves running and ran in “Go Far” for 3 years and beats her fastest time every time! She loves to draw and is very creative! Precious hopes to be a gamer and create games one day!"
